This July, Sikh Sewa Society Toronto had the pleasure of providing medical aid funds for Mr. Idu Sharif, a punjabi dhadhi (ballad) singer. On Saturday, June 4th, Sikh Sewa Society Toronto also took part of the Orangeville Shabeel. We helped provide langar di sewa (free meals) to the public and shared our mission with the community. We also made rooafza (rose milk) to help keep everyone cool!
On Saturday, June 4th, Sikh Sewa Society Toronto ran langar di sewa (free meals) for the Kabaddi Cup Tournament at the Powerade Centre, Brampton. While serving food, we had the opportunity to enjoy the teams playing. The mayor of Brampton, Linda Jeffrey, also joined us in our sewa.
The Sikh faith treats everyone equally, regardless of age, gender, culture, faith, or race. This is a principle taught to us through our tenth Guru (messenger of God), Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and is enforced by all those who practice the faith.
On Monday, February 15th, Sikh Sewa Society Toronto visited downtown Brampton to provide food (langar di sewa) for all those who needed it.
